About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work onsite at a New York‑based client in the investment‑fund sector. The role serves as an escalation point for the engineering team, providing advanced support and mentorship while driving technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Mentor junior and mid‑level Systems Engineers.
  • Deliver on‑site IT support using a ticketing system and adhere to strict change‑control procedures.
  • Maintain documentation, ensure compliance with organizational guidelines, and manage support queries.

Required profile

  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support, systems engineering or administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to balance project work, support tickets and R&D initiatives.

Required skills

  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and mobile device troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD).
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy.
  • Citrix XenApp (or similar) and Sophos endpoint protection.
  • Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls.
  • Azure cloud services and enterprise networking equipment (Palo Alto, Cisco firewalls, Cisco/Meraki/Ubiquiti WAPs).
  • Experience in an MSP environment, preferably with ConnectWise.
  • Scripting/automation with PowerShell and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
