Head of Engineering for Wealth Management

About the role

MassMutual seeks a senior technology leader to head engineering for its Wealth Management platforms. The role will drive modernization, cloud migration, and AI initiatives across advisor‑ and client‑facing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a global engineering organization covering software, quality, architecture, platform, and engineering management teams.
• Define and execute a multi‑year modernization roadmap, moving legacy systems to cloud‑native microservices, APIs and event‑driven designs.
• Oversee delivery of trading, portfolio, retirement, planning, reporting and digital experience platforms.
• Drive data, analytics and AI initiatives, building scalable data lakehouse architectures and generative AI use cases.
• Advance cloud‑native practices on AWS, including Kubernetes, EKS/ECS, serverless, CI/CD, observability and SRE.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, privacy and operational risk requirements.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership, managing 75+ engineers across locations.
• Proven experience modernizing enterprise platforms to cloud‑native architectures.
• Deep background delivering customer‑facing platforms in wealth management, banking or fintech.
• Strong partnership skills with executive, product, risk and compliance stakeholders.
• Series 99 certification or ability to obtain within six months.
