Senior Research Technician

About the role

The Senior Research Technician will support laboratory research, manage technician and undergraduate schedules, and lead participant recruitment for multiple studies. This position requires independent operation of study sessions and oversight of data handling and safety documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and train undergraduate research assistants, coordinate their schedules and duties.
• Organize recruitment efforts, create and maintain databases, screen participants, and obtain MRI safety clearance.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and ensure data is uploaded to REDCap and shared databases.
• Maintain safety documentation, including MRI safety, CPR, CITI training, PAR‑Q, and waivers.
• Assist with ordering supplies and preparing materials for presentations and publications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• High attention to detail and dependable work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using REDCap for data management.
• Familiarity with statistical processing software.
• Ability to operate data collection software and manage research databases.
