Remote Clinical Support Specialist

About the role

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is hiring a Remote Clinical Support Specialist to work directly alongside its clinicians during clinic hours. The role is embedded in the clinical workflow: interpreting for patients in real time, supporting a provider with documentation, managing incoming voicemail and keeping patient care moving. It is fully remote, performed during Genesis clinic hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real-time Spanish/English interpretation for clinicians and patients during office hours.
• Act as a dedicated scribe for a solo provider, documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Create and update telephone encounters, document communication and support clinical workflows within Epic.
• Listen to patient voicemails and transcribe them into Epic telephone encounters for the appropriate clinical team.
• Make limited outbound calls to patients when requested by a clinician and document the communication.

Required profile

• Fluent English and Spanish, able to switch comfortably between them in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Epic and how clinical documentation and telephone encounters work in a practice.
• Ability to handle a busy clinic, prioritizing tasks without constant supervision.
• Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred; medical scribe, medical assistant, interpreter or similar clinical experience preferred.
