Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer

About the role

Join Quora’s newly created Security Engineering Team to protect our Quora and Poe products. You will design and implement robust security controls for cloud infrastructure, compute workloads, and development pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to review and harden cloud and compute architecture designs.
• Develop threat models, security policies, and monitoring tools for AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Build and integrate security automation into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning.
• Write code for threat detection, incident containment, and network access management.
• Participate in incident triage, response, and post‑mortem analysis.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with a focus on security.
• Hands‑on experience securing large‑scale AWS environments and infrastructure‑as‑code pipelines.
• Ability to prioritize critical issues, own outcomes, and communicate solutions effectively.

Required skills

• AWS (IAM, VPC, monitoring, logging)
• Terraform or CloudFormation
• Kubernetes security
• CI/CD integration of SAST/DAST tools
• Linux system security, container security, POSIX capabilities, SECCOMP, LSM
• OSQuery, eBPF
