About the role
Quora is seeking an experienced machine learning engineer to lead the second‑phase ranking model for its feed and digest surfaces. This remote‑first position works on recommendation systems that connect users with relevant content.
Key responsibilities
- Improve existing ranking models using core coding and ML expertise.
- Own end‑to‑end ML systems, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, and production integration.
- Identify new opportunities to apply ML across Quora products.
- Collaborate with other ML engineers to implement efficient algorithms.
Required profile
- 3+ years of professional experience with recommendation or ranking models.
- Strong mathematical foundation in machine learning algorithms.
- Experience building end‑to‑end ML systems.
- Availability for coordination hours (Mon‑Fri 9 am‑3 pm PT).
