Senior GIS Account Manager – Utilities, Telecom, Rail

About the role

Esri is looking for a Senior GIS Account Manager to join its Infrastructure account team in Denver. The role suits someone who combines experience in the infrastructure industry with an understanding of how geospatial technology is applied, and who works with electric, gas, telecom and rail customers to help them adopt and expand use of Esri technology.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, develop and implement location strategies for large, complex organizations, create new opportunities in high-level accounts and deepen relationships
• Present at trade shows, workshops and seminars
• Demonstrate advanced industry knowledge of GIS and identify key stakeholders and executive decision makers
• Articulate the value of Esri technology for the infrastructure industry and use whiteboarding and presentation skills for visual storytelling
• Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals
• Collaborate with Esri teams and business partners, mentor team members and take initiative to resolve issues

Required profile

• 5+ years of enterprise sales, consulting or program management experience
• Experience managing the sales cycle and building partnerships with large customers
• Bachelor's degree in GIS, surveying, engineering, business administration or a related field
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of GIS and new technology trends, able to turn them into complex customer solutions
• Understanding of GIS, Esri technology and the electric, gas, telecom or rail industries
• Knowledge of fiscal year, budgeting and procurement cycles
• Expert visual storytelling and negotiation
• Preferred: general knowledge of data science or spatial analysis; Master's degree in GIS or business administration

• Estimated base salary of $114,400-$218,400 USD
