Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

SafeLease is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team in downtown Austin. You will work across the entire stack, building, testing, and shipping high‑impact features while collaborating closely with product, leadership, and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and ship high‑quality code across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Design scalable, customer‑centric solutions in partnership with product teams.
• Own issue resolution, triage system‑level problems, and guide best practices for reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement of performance, code health, and team efficiency.
• Mentor teammates, share expertise, and help shape a culture of learning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience with a track record of delivering complex features.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to lead discussions and mentor peers.
• Willingness to work onsite or hybrid from the Austin office.

Required skills

• Frontend: TypeScript, JavaScript, React.
• Backend: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs.
• Infrastructure: Relational databases, Git, AWS.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted tools such as Claude Code, Claude.ai, Linear.
• DevOps awareness and experience is a plus.
