Senior Executive Director – YMCA Los Altos Family

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Long Beach is seeking a senior leader to head the Los Altos Family YMCA in Long Beach. This role will guide the branch through a major capital campaign, oversee daily operations, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality programs for families, youth, and seniors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall branch operations, including finance, programming, marketing, and staff development.
• Drive membership growth, retention, and community outreach.
• Oversee the capital campaign and upcoming facility expansion slated for early 2027.
• Collaborate with a 34‑person Board of Managers and manage volunteer activities.
• Develop and execute the annual operating plan and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive management experience in a YMCA or nonprofit setting with budgets of $4 M+.
• Proven track record in financial stewardship, membership growth, and capital‑project leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
