Senior Director, Fund Management

About the role

The Senior Director of Fund Management leads the oversight and integration of gift processing, donor record management, fund administration, and donor due diligence within Advancement Resources. This senior leadership position ensures compliance with IRS regulations, CASE standards, and university policies while supporting institutional fundraising goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of gift processing, donor record management, and fund administration, aligning with donor intent and institutional policies.
• Lead donor due diligence and gift acceptance processes, assessing reputational, financial, and legal risks.
• Oversee data integrity and governance of constituent records within the CRM system.
• Manage reconciliation between Advancement and Finance systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.
• Drive process optimization, system enhancements, and operational integration across campuses.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with 10+ years of progressive experience in advancement services, gift administration, or fund management.
• Proven leadership experience managing multiple functional teams in a higher‑education or nonprofit environment.
• Deep knowledge of fundraising operations, IRS regulations, CASE guidelines, and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Expertise in gift processing and donor database management.
