Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

Esri's Professional Services division is hiring a Senior Contract Specialist in Redlands, California. The role manages a variety of complex contracts, works with cross-functional teams and provides guidance on contract structuring and compliance. The company offers relocation assistance for candidates moving to the Redlands area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of services contracts, including RFP analysis, proposal development, negotiation, execution and closeout
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk mitigation and compliance with applicable regulations and policies
• Work with legal, finance and project teams to resolve contractual issues and support program success
• Support commercial, public sector, international and federal agreements
• Help develop and improve contract management practices and tools
• Apply knowledge of FAR/DFAR and federal procurement processes where applicable; federal experience is highly valued but not required

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in contract administration with increasing responsibility
• Demonstrated success negotiating and managing a variety of contract types and structures
• Solid understanding of contract law, risk management and procurement best practices
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies, political science or a related field
• Authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available

Required skills

• Contract negotiation and administration
• Federal procurement knowledge (FAR/DFAR); familiarity with federal contracting terms and large systems integrator terms is recommended
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR, SBA, EAR, ITAR and Defense Security Service is recommended
• Understanding of professional services, cloud computing, software licensing, intellectual property and subcontracting terms is recommended
