About the role

Prudent Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector with NICET II certification to oversee bridge and highway projects in Buffalo and surrounding areas. The role begins in April/May 2026 and involves ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations throughout construction phases.

Key responsibilities

Inspect construction sites at various stages to verify adherence to project plans and specifications.
Monitor safety practices, enforce OSHA 10 standards, and ensure proper documentation of inspections.

Required profile

NICET II certification or equivalent experience.
Prior New York State DOT or Thruway inspection experience on bridge or highway projects.

Required skills

Proficiency with computer‑aided project administration tools.
OSHA 10 certification and knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
