Traveling Project Manager – Electrical Construction

About the role

The client, a leading construction firm specializing in large‑scale data center projects across the Southern United States, is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead electrical construction efforts. This full‑time, onsite position requires frequent travel throughout the region and hands‑on management from planning through project closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day execution of multi‑year data center construction projects, maintaining schedules, budgets and progress reports.
• Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, owners and other stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient work that meets project specifications.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, implement corrective actions, and oversee procurement, material coordination and change management.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, meeting records, cost reports and schedule updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial or large‑scale construction projects; data‑center experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to jobsite safety, quality control and accountability.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Southern United States and work onsite for extended assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard construction project management software.
• Proficiency with scheduling software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts and project schedules.
