Senior Civil Designer

About the role

The Senior Civil Designer will work closely with a Project Manager or Principal to develop design concepts and produce construction documents for land development projects. This experienced role may lead design efforts, coordinate staff, and act as a technical expert on complex assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop schematic and design development plans for residential, commercial, educational, and industrial sites.
• Prepare construction documents, coordinate with other design disciplines, and attend construction meetings.
• Research code issues, prepare addendums, change orders, and value‑engineer project estimates.
• Lead project teams, ensure compliance with company standards, and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Required profile

• Associate degree with 10+ years of progressive drafting and design experience.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design, applicable codes, and CAD operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling confidential documents.
