Search Consultant (Academic Physician Recruiter)

About the role

AMN Healthcare is hiring a Search Consultant (Academic Physician Recruiter) in Dallas. The role sources, recruits and places physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) in permanent positions nationwide, managing the full recruitment lifecycle from candidate sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and placement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for permanent physician and APP opportunities.
• Build a pipeline of active and passive candidates through sourcing, networking, referrals, social media and outbound recruiting.
• Screen candidates on experience, career goals, compensation expectations and location preferences.
• Present qualified candidates to clients and guide them through the hiring process.
• Develop long-term relationships with physicians, residents, fellows and APPs to generate future placements and referrals.
• Coordinate interviews and communicate between candidates and healthcare organizations.
• Negotiate compensation packages, employment agreements and start dates.
• Maintain recruiting activity and pipeline data in CRM and ATS systems.
• Achieve recruiting, placement and activity goals, partner with operations and credentialing teams, and stay informed on workforce trends and compensation benchmarks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of recruiting, staffing, healthcare recruiting, sales or business development experience preferred.
• Preferred: physician, APP or healthcare recruiting experience, sourcing passive candidates, and experience working toward recruiting, placement or revenue goals.
• Ability to use technology, automation and AI-enabled tools responsibly, and to handle confidential information discreetly.

What we offer

• Pay of $19.50 - $24.25 per hour, depending on experience, training, education and location.
• Possible additional compensation such as bonus or commission.
