Compensation Consultant II

About the role

AMN Healthcare is hiring a Compensation Consultant II in Dallas. The consultant acts as a trusted compensation advisor, giving analysis, consultation and recommendations on compensation programs, job evaluation, classification, organizational design and pay practices. The role works closely with Human Resources and business leaders on restructures, reclassifications, new positions, market pricing, salary administration and pay equity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compensation analyses: market pricing, salary benchmarking, internal and pay equity reviews, cost analyses and market trends.
• Recommend salary offers, promotions, reclassifications and market adjustments, and take part in annual merit, bonus and equity planning cycles.
• Review requests for new positions, restructures and reclassifications, perform job analyses and recommend job grades and salary ranges.
• Maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, salary structures and other compensation documentation.
• Advise leaders and HR teams, communicate findings and help deliver compensation training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of progressive compensation experience, or high school diploma/GED and 9-11 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
• Preferred experience: annual merit cycles, bonus and equity programs, salary structure design, job architecture, compensation consulting, Workday and AI-enabled tools.

Required skills

• Knowledge of compensation principles, salary administration, job evaluation and classification.
• Market pricing, pay equity and internal equity analyses.
• Excel and compensation systems such as Better Comp; Workday and compensation technology platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.

The work is done in an office or home office, with occasional visits to the AMN Healthcare office depending on the work arrangement. The stated salary range is $100,000 - $119,000, depending on experience, training, education and location.
