Sales Manager

About the role

The Holiday Inn Arlington NE-Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas, is looking for a Sales Manager. The role manages accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to win past and new business so that revenue goals are met or exceeded. The growth path runs from Senior Sales Manager to Director of Sales, then Area Director of Sales and finally Regional Director of Sales.

Key responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates so they meet brand and hotel standards and the company's core values.
• Sell all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients using professional sales techniques.
• Negotiate terms and conditions that satisfy internal and external customers.
• Manage accounts, making sure solicitation and closing are complete and documented, and coordinate the departments involved in serving accounts.
• Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.
• Develop and deliver persuasive verbal sales presentations and articulate the hotel's benefits to close deals.
• Travel locally to make outside calls, promote the hotel and review the competition, and represent the hotel at trade shows.
• Follow the HHM EarthView sustainability programme and perform other duties asked by management.

Required profile

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
• A proven track record in sales is required; previous hospitality sales experience is preferred.
• Work schedule varies and may include occasional work on holidays and weekends.
• Ability to sit for long periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend and reach, and moderate travel between the hotel and client sites.
