F&B Supervisor

About the role

Live! by Loews-Arlington, TX is an upscale hotel offering a blend of sports and entertainment with first-class hospitality, located between the Texas Rangers' ballpark and Cowboys Stadium. It is looking for an F&B Supervisor to oversee the restaurant team and ensure high standards of service, cleanliness and organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Make inspection rounds to ensure organisation, cleanliness, proper maintenance and adequate supplies
• Monitor staff adherence to service standards, SOPs and Loews SOPs, including uniform and grooming standards
• Supervise guest service and respond to guests' signals for service needs
• Help the Team Leader establish and monitor side work duty completion
• Maintain the bank according to SOP, keeping it balanced and secure
• Read the previous shift's communication sheet, prepare one for the next shift, check personnel call-offs and floor coverage, and check the restaurant for cleanliness and set-up
• Communicate daily with the restaurant manager about special events and house counts
• Help conduct menu classes, taste panels and the month-end inventory count
• Communicate with team members during service, scheduling, safety chats, MSDS and post bulletins, and report unsafe working conditions
• Ensure proper handling of guest checks and cash transactions, and step in for team members when needed

Required profile

• Food and beverage knowledge required
• High school diploma
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to make decisions on imperfect information

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
