Room Service Cashier

About the role

The Room Service Cashier at Loews Miami Beach Hotel supports an elevated in-room dining experience by taking orders accurately, guiding guests with menu knowledge and communicating well. The role coordinates between culinary and service teams while keeping billing, tracking and administrative processes precise.

Key responsibilities

• Take and process in-room dining orders accurately and efficiently according to Loews standards
• Help guests choose from the menu and recommend food and beverages
• Upsell items thoughtfully to improve the guest experience and support revenue goals
• Monitor order flow so orders are prepared, delivered and followed up on time
• Communicate orders, requests and changes clearly with Culinary and Room Service teams
• Dispatch servers or bussers for deliveries, requests and tray retrieval
• Follow up with guests to confirm satisfaction with food quality and service
• Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally
• Maintain accurate in-room dining tracking logs and control records
• Ensure correct billing and posting of in-room dining and amenity charges
• Keep track of menu availability, specials and out-of-stock items
• Keep the work area clean and safe, and attend mandatory training and meetings

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of food and beverage terminology and ability to learn upselling techniques
• Strong guest service skills and excellent telephone etiquette
• Guest-focused, clear communicator with a warm, polished telephone presence
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple orders at once
• Team player who works with servers, bussers, culinary and hotel partners

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems and office or communication equipment
• Order entry and billing procedures
