Robot Service Operations Specialist / Coordinator, North America
Agile Robots · Petaluma
Job description
About the role
As Agile Robots expands its North American team, it is looking for an Operations Specialist and Coordinator to own and continuously improve the operational, logistics, inventory, ERP and vendor-management backbone of its service center. This is a high-ownership role centered on planning, analysis and decision-making, covering all warehouse operations including hands-on management of incoming and outgoing deliveries. The role acts as the North American operations point of contact with the Munich headquarters and worldwide sites.
Key responsibilities
- Own and improve logistics, inventory, ERP and finance-support workflows, and write and maintain standard operating procedures for North American operations.
- Select, evaluate and negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, calibration vendors and parts suppliers, and manage those relationships end to end.
- Manage demand forecasting and inventory strategy with Operations, set reorder points and safety stock, and make stocking, allocation and disposition decisions.
- Act as the decision-maker on import and export compliance, resolving complex shipment and documentation issues.
- Analyze operational spend and expenses, identify cost-reduction opportunities and recommend budget and process changes.
- Own SAP/ERP operations and data governance (purchase orders, sales orders, inventory movements, payments and vendor records).
- Track performance, lead continuous improvement, oversee shipping, receiving and inventory transactions, and resolve exceptions.
- Oversee tool inventory, calibration schedules and certification tracking, and provide hands-on support during peak periods.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics or accounting preferred; an associate degree with substantial relevant experience will be considered.
- 4+ years in operations, logistics, supply chain or inventory management, ideally in a technical, manufacturing or hardware environment, with ownership of vendor relationships, planning or process design.
- Exposure to accounts payable or expense analysis is strongly preferred.
- Ability to make independent operational decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments, including customs documentation, freight forwarders and carriers.
- Clear written and verbal communication across time zones, and ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
Required skills
- Hands-on experience with SAP or a comparable ERP (inventory movements, purchase orders, sales orders, invoices).
- Strong spreadsheet and analysis skills for reconciliation, reporting and forecasting.
What we offer
- Full-time, exempt position with a salary of $95,000 to $135,000 USD depending on experience and location.
- Performance-based bonuses.
- Health, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Professional development opportunities.
