Internal Logistic Supervisor

About the role

ABB is hiring an Internal Logistic Supervisor in Richmond, reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager. The role oversees warehouse operations and manages a team of employees who receive, handle, store and dispatch products, systems and services to customers. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with third-party logistics to ensure materials arrive on time for production lines
• Optimize warehouse capacity, inventory and floor utilization, and supervise and assist daily warehouse and shipping operations
• Implement process improvements, digitalization and automation in the warehouse
• Recommend measures to improve service quality, efficiency and crew and equipment performance, and ensure stock accuracy through periodic stock takes and cycle counts
• Perform annual physical inventory
• Maintain equipment and facilities and recommend technical improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or a high school diploma with at least 8 years of warehouse operation / logistics experience
• Work authorization to work for ABB in the US
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration

Required skills

• SAP knowledge in the WM, MM and PP modules (mandatory)
• Knowledge of an ERP system, SAP highly preferred
• Manpower handling experience
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
