RN Shift Manager – Medical Telemetry (Part‑Time, P Shift)

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a Shift Manager for the Medical Telemetry unit on a part‑time P shift. The RN Shift Manager will lead the unit, ensure patient safety, and support staff in delivering high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce hospital safety policies, including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and central line care.
• Provide direct nursing care, medication administration, patient/family education, and documentation while meeting quality and compliance standards.
• Communicate patient information to physicians, staff, and families, and perform service recovery and follow‑up on care concerns.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) and at least one year of RN experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb, stand, walk, and perform frequent physical tasks.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
