About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct OB/Nursery patient care at Phelps Health Hospital, following established safety and clinical policies. This position works a 0.9 full‑time P‑shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection‑prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notification policies.
Manage central lines, prevent surgical site infections, administer medications, and deliver patient and family education.
Perform initial and ongoing assessments, document care activities, and communicate patient information to physicians and the care team.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license in Missouri (or Compact) – graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
One year of nursing experience preferred.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
