RN – Med/Surg & Post‑Op Surgery (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Parkview III Complex Medical Care unit. This night‑shift position provides direct care to post‑operative patients across a range of surgical specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, including assessment, medication administration, and implementation of physician orders.
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans throughout the hospital stay.
• Educate patients and families on post‑operative care, discharge planning, and health promotion.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and one year of acute‑care or military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support certification; ACLS required for critical‑care areas within the first year.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
• Ability to administer medications, perform wound care, and manage IV therapy.
