R&D Intern – Virus Filtration Research

About the role

Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America is seeking a motivated R&D Intern to work in a life‑science laboratory focused on virus filtration and bioprocessing technologies. This 12‑week internship provides hands‑on experience in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a defined research project on virus filtration or viral clearance under scientist mentorship.
• Plan, execute, and document laboratory experiments following safety and quality standards.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, maintaining detailed lab notebooks.
• Prepare a final technical presentation and written report summarizing findings.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, or a related life‑sciences field.
• Completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework with strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
