Medical Safety Manager – Complaints Handling

About the role

The Medical Safety Manager, Complaint Handling, performs clinical assessments on complaints related to harm, determines regulatory reportability, and serves as the primary clinical liaison between Post Market Surveillance and Medical Safety.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for preliminary clinical assessments of injury or death allegations for Philips products.
• Participate in governance meetings, provide clinical insights, and drive continuous improvement in post‑market surveillance.
• Collaborate with global complaint handling and correction teams to resolve issues and support corrective actions.
• Communicate clinical insights across businesses, markets, functions, and suppliers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s (or 3+ years with a master’s) in Medical/Clinical Affairs, Medical Safety, or related field.
• Prior hands‑on bedside/clinical experience and at least 1 year of post‑market experience.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a complex global environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CFR, EUMDR, ISO standards.
• Experience with Issue Impact Assessments, Health Hazard Evaluations, and Risk Benefit Analyses (preferred).
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred.
