RN – Med/Surg and Telemetry

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct inpatient acute care on the Med/Surg and Telemetry unit at Fairview Hospital, caring for adults with conditions such as pneumonia, heart failure, and post‑operative patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post‑hospital care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Prior med/surg experience preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse licensure.
