RN – Medical Telemetry (Full-Time, P-Shift) with Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Telemetry unit on a full‑time, P‑shift schedule. The role offers a sign‑on bonus of up to $30,000 and provides an opportunity to deliver critical patient care in a supportive hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Maintain and care for central lines, prevent surgical site infections, and administer medications.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, document care activities, and communicate findings to physicians and the care team.
• Educate patients and families, delegate tasks appropriately, and foster teamwork.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure) – graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb and perform frequent walking and other physical tasks.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Competence in central line care and infection control procedures.
