About the role

The RN – ICU Stepdown provides direct nursing care to high‑acuity pulmonology and cardiac patients in Mercy Hospital’s 10M ICU and Stepdown Unit. The position works night shifts (10:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and collaborates closely with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and document patient conditions.
Assess and coordinate discharge needs and provide patient/family education.
Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and clinical study.

Required profile

Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of acute‑care RN experience (military RN experience considered).
