About the role
The RN HOPS - Radiology position provides nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in a hospital setting, interacting directly with patients, families, and the care team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and assessments for patients receiving imaging services.
- Document findings, notify physicians of abnormal results, and perform telephone triage.
- Administer treatments, medications, and perform nursing procedures.
- Develop and coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Cover other nursing roles within the department as needed.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Current state RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year recent RN experience (or RN with 2 years LPN experience).
Required skills
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification (required within six months for moderate sedation areas).
