RN – Critical Care Float Pool

About the role

The Critical Care Float Pool RN provides flexible, high‑quality nursing care across multiple intensive care units at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. Working nights, you will support surgical, trauma, and neuro ICU patients while gaining experience in diverse critical care settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications, and perform treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions, updating care plans as needed.
• Assist with patient discharge planning and educate patients and families.
• Provide coverage for open‑heart, neuro ICU, thrombectomy, and trauma cases across various units.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current RN licensure and at least one year of acute‑care or military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support certification; ACLS or ALS certification required for critical‑care areas.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
