RN Charge Nurse – Full‑Time

About the role

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) leads a shift in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring high‑quality patient care and smooth unit operations. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the RN oversees clinical duties, staff coordination, and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the skilled nursing facility during the assigned shift, conducting rounds and managing unit activities.
• Assess residents' physical condition, direct nursing actions in crises, and investigate incidents or accidents.
• Adjust staffing levels to maintain adequate coverage and delegate tasks within staff competencies.
• Ensure compliance with nursing policies, regulations, and facility procedures.

Required profile

• Current, unencumbered active RN license in the state.
• Demonstrated knowledge of age‑specific resident care from adult to geriatric.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to complete background check, physical exam, and drug screening.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
