RN – Cardiac Cath Lab (Full‑Time)

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to work in the Cardiac Cath Lab, providing direct patient care during invasive cardiac procedures. The RN will operate independently within the Missouri Board of Nursing scope, ensuring safe and high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications, conscious sedation, and peri‑procedural pharmacologic agents safely during procedures.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, monitor hemodynamic waveforms, and document vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and supplies used.
• Communicate patient information to physicians and team members, participate in quality monitoring, and follow hospital safety policies.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of critical‑care or equivalent experience.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure) and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lb, wear lead aprons, and perform CPR and sheath management.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Knowledge of conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
