RN – Adult Medical Emergency Team

About the role

The Adult Medical Emergency Team (AMET) RN provides rapid response care to patients at risk of clinical deterioration at Marymount Hospital. You will work both on the AMET and within the ICU, delivering critical interventions and supporting patient and family education.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to codes and rapid response calls, performing CPR, intubation, defibrillation and emergency medication administration.
• Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient conditions to the care team.
• Participate in education, quality improvement initiatives, and discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, BSN) with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience in a hospital setting (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within one year of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support required for pediatric support roles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in critical care interventions such as CPR, intubation, and defibrillation.
• Ability to administer emergency medications according to nursing protocols.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills for rapid response situations.
