About the role

The 4100 Cardiac Telemetry/Renal Unit at Akron General Medical Center provides care for patients with complex cardiac and renal conditions. This night‑shift RN position supports patients with CHF, ESRD, cardiac arrhythmia, acute coronary syndrome and related comorbidities.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes and respond appropriately.
Administer treatments and medications, document care accurately.
Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations, quality improvement and patient/family education.
Delegate tasks, serve as a resource, and maintain required certifications.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (upon hire or within first year).
Physical ability to lift patients and work extended standing periods.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
