Retail Store Manager - Laguna Beach

About the role

Melin, part of Archipelago Cosmetics, is looking for a Store Manager in Laguna Beach, CA. The role leads and coaches the store team to deliver an exceptional guest experience, builds lifelong relationships with guests and the brand, and covers opening and closing, operations, inventory, POS, hiring and training, and scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales through a premium guest experience, coach sales experts and run an effective operational system aligned with melin's culture.
• Manage product flow, back-of-house operations, supply needs and daily store maintenance.
• Help with staff hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, employee relations and performance check-ins.
• Open and close the store independently and cover shifts when the manager is absent.
• Manage inventory: merchandise, monthly cycle counts, restocking, receiving and placing fill orders.
• Run seasonal floor sets and visual merchandising, and support store events and marketing activations, including at least one unique event per quarter.
• Handle POS issues, reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards and discounts.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience and 1 year of management experience.
• College degree is a plus.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds and use ladders or stairs.
• Self-motivated leader with strong entrepreneurial skills and a guest-centric mindset.
