Route Sales Rep Vacation Relief

About the role

Peet's is hiring a Vacation Relief Route Sales Representative in the San Diego, California area, reporting to the Regional Manager. The role covers grocery customers on variable routes by delivering fresh coffee daily and building relationships with store management to increase Peet's visibility in each account. It provides vacation relief to the San Diego area.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and order a weekly order
• Merchandise store displays to ensure proper inventory, pricing and date code rotation
• Comply with customers' scheduled receiving hours and policies
• Build in-store displays
• Manage point-of-sale inventory
• Solicit new accounts that fit the approved Peet's profile
• Sell special programs to store owners and managers
• Keep company-supplied equipment clean and serviced, including the van, warehouse and POS
• Complete all required reports and paperwork

Required profile

• Previous DSD or truck-to-store sales experience
• Ability to travel when needed
• Clean DMV record and insurability
• Ability to work independently in various settings
• Ability to work flexible hours depending on business needs
