Regional Manager - DSD

About the role

The Grocery DSD Regional Manager reports to the Divisional Leader and has overall management responsibility for a team of Route Sales Representatives and Independent Distributors in a specified region. The role covers sales, brand and customer development, route planning, marketing execution, budgeting and customer service results, and leads the team to maximum work quality, capacity and efficiency. It is a full-time, exempt position based in the LA/Orange, California area.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day route activities of all field-level work.
• Coach and lead the team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual volume, return and display targets for Peet's Coffee product assortments.
• Work with the Account Sales team to improve distribution, shelving and display support and grow sales in key accounts.
• Lead field-level execution of marketing initiatives.
• Train, develop and manage Route Sales Representatives through weekly route riding schedules.
• Review operational reports, monitor area profitability and manage the district budget.
• Lead and manage performance reviews and guide the resolution of issues affecting route service, efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee safe working conditions and model the company's mission, vision and values.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in DSD operations.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team.
• Experience selling at store and headquarters levels.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Solid PC skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective verbal and written communication, sound business judgment and discretion.
• Ability to adapt priorities and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
