Retail Sales Expert - Waikiki

About the role

Archipelago Cosmetics is hiring a Retail Sales Expert for its melin store in Waikiki, Honolulu. The role puts the guest first, building a lifelong relationship with customers and the brand, and covers opening and closing the store, managing the drawer and daily revenue drop, and keeping the store clean and organized. Two positions are open: full time (32+ hours per week) and part time (under 29 hours per week).

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, personalize their experience and build lasting rapport.
• Answer product questions with deep product knowledge, stay aware of competitors and communicate creative selections that fit customer needs.
• Deliver premium customer service, solve customer issues independently and relay customer feedback to leadership.
• Restock, handle back-of-house operations and supply needs, and keep the retail floor clean and visually aligned with store concepts.
• Support Cashwrap and POS procedures, reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards and discounts with manager approval.
• Open and close the store according to standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• At least one year of sales and merchandising experience, preferably in retail goods, including opening and closing.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills, and a self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 15 pounds and climb ladders or stairs.
• Preferred: knowledge of action sports, golf, running and training, and a passion for the outdoors.

Required skills

• POS sales, including Shopify.
• Point-of-sale register procedures, protocols and policies.

• Hourly pay of $18.00-$21.00 depending on experience.
