About the role
This part‑time, 1099 independent contractor position supports retail merchandising for a small branded cooler/freezer unit at a local grocery store in Portland, MI. The role is ideal for someone living nearby who can manage weekly store visits and product changeouts.
Key responsibilities
- Visit the store once per week to maintain the branded cooler/freezer unit.
- Perform bi‑weekly full product changeouts, including defrosting, restocking and updating signage.
- Check inventory levels on other visits and restock as needed (average 20 min).
- Verify thermostat settings and report service via smartphone with photos on the same day.
Required profile
- Lives within a 10‑15 mile radius of the store.
- Comfortable using a smartphone to capture and submit photos and reports.
- Seeking supplemental income rather than a full‑time position.
What we offer
- $15‑18 per visit, paid bi‑weekly via direct deposit.
- Consistent recurring route with independent work; pay covers a full hour even if visit is shorter.
- No mileage or drive‑time reimbursement.
