About the role

The Restaurant Server at Loews Arlington Hotel delivers table service by serving food and beverages, anticipating guest needs and creating a warm, memorable dining experience. The hotel is a large resort in Arlington's sports district, with 888 rooms, five dining venues, pools, spa services and 266,000 square feet of event space.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and present menus confidently
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, including dietary preferences
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring quality and presentation
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit
• Process payments accurately using POS systems
• Maintain thorough menu knowledge to offer recommendations
• Communicate guest needs or special requests to the kitchen or bar
• Keep tables and surrounding areas clean, tidy and stocked
• Assist with opening, closing and restocking duties
• Support team members for timely, coordinated service
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed
• Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to stand, bend and lift up to 40-50 pounds as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required skills

• POS system experience preferred
