About the role

Live! by Loews in St. Louis, part of Ballpark Village, is looking for a passionate and innovative Restaurant Chef. The chef brings artistry and precision to every plate, blending creativity with operational excellence to craft menus that delight guests and ensure flawless execution. The role leads the restaurant's culinary department.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop seasonal menus and specials that fit the restaurant's concept
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and guide a team of chefs and cooks
• Promote best practices in sanitation and compliance so every dish meets the highest standards
• Optimize ingredient use, control costs and manage stock levels
• Mentor and train the team, building a kitchen culture of creativity and collaboration
• Interact with guests when appropriate, gather feedback and make sure each dining experience exceeds expectations
• Attend regular shifts according to schedule, take part in mandatory training and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• College, culinary degree or equivalent professional training
• Five to six years of experience in quality food production in an upscale hotel or high-end freestanding restaurant
• Three or more years of supervisory experience in a similar setting
• Ability to stay ahead of culinary trends and work calmly under pressure in fast-paced environments
