Residential Roofing Sales Representative

About the role

Ferguson Roofing, a Hoffmann Brothers company and St. Louis contractor serving residential and commercial clients, is looking for a Residential Project Manager to join its leadership team. Reporting to the Residential Operations Manager and Director of Operations, the role runs sales calls and delivers project proposals to customers in a timely way.

Key responsibilities

• Run residential sales calls and provide customers with project proposals on time.
• Meet residential customers face-to-face to present proposals, product samples and make a sales pitch.
• Acquire customers through existing relationships and business development.
• Work with account management to support production needs and keep accounts well regarded.
• Attend department and company meetings and training as required.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and follow up on open sales opportunities.
• Make follow-up calls after service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Climb ladders or scaffolding frequently.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in service industry sales, preferably in residential roofing.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Proven track record of accurate estimating to capture and protect profit.
• Experience negotiating with vendors and resolving customer concerns that need management involvement.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Required skills

• Budgeting, planning and setting revenue targets.
• Communication and relationship-building with internal teams, installation crews and vendors.
• Ability to coach and motivate team members.
• Hands-on approach and negotiation skills.
