Remote Tax Accountant – Corporate Indirect Taxes

About the role

This fully remote position supports a Florida‑based organization with corporate indirect tax compliance. The Tax Accountant will handle sales, VAT, GST and other local taxes while collaborating with finance, sales and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• File indirect taxes (sales, VAT, GST) accurately and on time.
• Research and ensure compliance with state, local and global tax regulations.
• Reconcile tax accounts in the general ledger, including property, sales, use, corporate income and VAT.
• Support tax inquiries and audits from internal, external and governmental auditors worldwide.
• Monitor tax legislation updates, assess business impact and communicate changes to leadership.
• Perform month‑end close tasks such as accruals, journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Assist global tax planning, transfer‑pricing analysis and intercompany documentation.
• Maintain and improve internal controls related to tax reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, IT and other teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
• Help implement tax automation tools and ERP system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 + years of experience in international and indirect tax compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
