Remote Sales, Marketing & Business Development Manager/Director

About the role

This full‑time remote position focuses on driving paid editorial and advertising revenue across California. You will develop and execute sales strategies, manage client relationships and identify new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement sales plans to grow revenue from editorial and advertising products.
• Build and maintain relationships with business clients, agencies and partners.
• Lead outreach campaigns, prospecting and account management, including proposals and presentations.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives, optimise digital channels and align offerings with editorial leadership.
• Monitor performance metrics, provide training and guidance to team members and ensure high‑level customer service throughout the sales cycle.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities to engage and retain clients.
• Proven sales and sales‑management experience with a track record of revenue growth.
• Experience in training or coaching teams to improve sales performance.
• Background in marketing, business development or media/advertising sales, preferably in digital publishing or B2B environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Negotiation, presentation and proposal development expertise.
• Analytical and organisational skills, including use of CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
