Registered Respiratory Therapist – Flexible Staffing Pool

About the role

The Enterprise Flexible Staffing Pool position provides critical respiratory care across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations, primarily evenings and nights. You will deliver evidence‑based treatment to adult, pediatric and neonatal patients in diverse inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat and monitor patients with respiratory insufficiencies, developing individualized care plans.
• Perform advanced respiratory modalities, administer medications, and conduct blood‑gas puncture and analysis.
• Float to various units—including critical care, obstetrics, emergency, and behavioral health—covering geriatric, adult and pediatric populations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and RRT certification.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum one year of critical‑care experience (new graduates not eligible to float immediately).

Required skills

• Respiratory therapy techniques and ventilator management.
• Blood‑gas analysis.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certifications (preferred).
