Registered Nurse – Surgical Orthopedics (Irregular Part‑Time)

About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care on the surgical orthopedics unit at Phelps Health Hospital. This irregular part‑time position supports safe, high‑quality care for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
- Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections.
- Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, document care, and communicate findings to the care team.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates acceptable.
- Current RN license in Missouri or Compact licensure; graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Required skills
- Valid RN license (Missouri or Compact).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
