Registered Nurse – Pediatrics (PRN)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse for its Fairview Hospital inpatient unit. This PRN position offers variable shifts between 7:00 am‑7:30 pm and 7:00 pm‑7:30 am, including weekends and holidays, to provide high‑quality care to infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and respond to physician orders.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate patient transitions.
• Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and clinical study.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS required for critical‑care areas.
• Two years of recent related nursing experience for external applicants; internal candidates may have less.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if working in critical care).
• Proficiency in patient assessment and documentation.
