Registered Nurse – Med/Surg and Telemetry

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 6 North/South Med/Surg and Telemetry units. This PRN position works a day/night rotation, providing comprehensive care to adult patients with medical and surgical diagnoses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout their stay.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions to the care team.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate appropriate follow‑up.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if hired in a critical‑care area.
• External applicants: minimum two years recent related nursing experience.
• Internal applicants: less than two years experience, with a post‑orientation probationary period.
• Military RN experience considered; BSN preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (when applicable).
