Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for the 5 North Innovation Unit at Fairview Hospital. This night‑shift position (7:00 PM‑7:30 AM) provides direct patient care on a medical‑surgical floor within a Magnet‑recognized facility.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care according to hospital policies, monitor and document patient conditions, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education, ensuring understanding of care instructions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Current state RN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS required for critical‑care areas.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care RN experience in a hospital setting.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification where applicable.
• Ability to perform critical thinking, documentation, and patient assessment.
